GPA Factory - FAQ

GPA Factory is an Austin-based tutoring company comprised of experts in difficult University of Texas classes that students often struggle in. We provide UT and professor-specific tutoring solutions that are both effective and affordable. GPA Factory can help you if you feel totally lost, need extra support to ensure you get the grade you’re looking for, or want to save time so that you can enjoy college life outside of a library. We offer in-person and on-demand review sessions, practice problems specifically designed to help you master the material, and private tutoring options to help get you through your difficult courses.

GPA Factory Essential Memberships comes with:

• Full access to Exam Reviews, 2-3 hour sessions held in-person or online about 4 or 5 days before your next exam
• Full access to Weekly Reviews, 1-2 hour sessions posted online each week to help you stay up to date on all your course material
• Full access to tons of practice problems to reinforce the material, including full-length Mock Exams released at the time of the Exam Review
• The ability to post any questions you have on your class's Question Wall, where a Course Expert will reply to help you with a problem or concept that is giving you trouble
• Full access to on-demand videos of all the review sessions so that you can study at times that fit your schedule
• Discounted access to 2-hour Study Blitz sessions (typically held around exams) where your GPA Factory Course Expert will work through tons of practice problems in a very small group setting

Becoming a member gains you access to everything you need to master your course's material. If you still feel like you need additional support, members also receive $30 off each hour of private tutoring they book (normally $80 per hour).

We want everyone to be able to use all of our services without breaking the bank. If you are taking more than one class we offer this semester, you can get 75% off subsequent memberships. After you purchase the first membership you would just need to email [email protected] with a screenshot of your course schedule and we'll give you a code to use. 

Absolutely not. Use your membership as long as you need it. Every GPA Factory member can cancel their membership any time by clicking your profile in the top right, then going to settings, and cancel membership. Reach out to [email protected] if you're having any trouble and we'd be happy to help.

A GPA Factory membership is by far the best place to start if you're taking one of the courses we offer. Even if you don't see your course listed in our offerings, we offer private tutoring for many math and business courses at UT. For courses that we do offer, members receive $25 off each private tutoring session they book (normally $75/hr).

Your member code can be found in the confirmation email you received upon becoming a GPA Factory member. If you can't find the code, just email [email protected] and we'll be happy to assist./

Glad you asked! Unfortunately, no. One of our main goals is to make quality tutoring solutions that are both effective and affordable. The reason we're able to keep our monthly prices below what it would normally cost for a single hour of private tutoring is based on the assumption of one student per membership. Students found sharing accounts will have their account deactivated without a refund. We wouldn't be mad... we'd just be disappointed.

However, you can earn cash by spreading the word about GPA Factory. We would rather pay students than advertisers, so for every friend you know who ends up buying a GPA Factory membership or booking a private tutoring session, we'll give you $10. You can do this by signing up as an affiliate. Also, everyone is able to try GPA Factory for 7 days absolutely free.

You can find us on the second floor of the Dobie Mall (2025 Guadalupe St.) inside Regus, which is about a one minute walk from Littlefield Fountain.

Exam Review dates, times, and locations will be posted as Announcements inside of the Member Area and often sent as emails as well. All Essential and Elite members will have the ability to attend. You'll just have to show up with an ID and something to write with, we'll provide the rest. Don't worry if you can't attend an in-person review, we also post videos of each Exam Review after it's held for you to watch on your own schedule.

Yes! We will have blue packets that go along with the review videos that will be available for pickup at our office, located on the second floor of the Dobie Mall (2021 Guadalupe St.).

Every GPA Factory member can cancel their membership any time by clicking your profile in the top right, then going to Settings, then the Billing tab, and finally click the three dots next to your subscription and click "Cancel this subscription". Reach out to [email protected] or call us at (512) 996-6472 if you're having any trouble; we'd be happy to help.

Membership access is all or nothing, and the content is designed to either be consumed slowly over an entire month or binged in just a few days. So even if you only need your GPA Factory membership for just a day or two at the end of the semester, you'll have to buy a full month of access.

GPA Factory isn't in the business of taking money from college students or their parents. All GPA Factory memberships will be automatically canceled the day after the last week of University of Texas final exams. If your course ends before the last day of finals week, it is your responsibility to cancel your membership. Take a look at all of the courses that we offer and make sure to sign up again the next semester for your new course.
